Mezzo-Soprano Anna Traub was born in Basel, Switzerland. By the age of four, she was studying piano and working as a supernumerary at the Theater Basel, where at the age of fifteen she joined the chorus. She gained experience as a soloist in various youth choirs, including the Mädchenkantorei Basel. She was also a student in the ballet school of the Theater Basel for 10 years.
